Legacy Park has one of the best community centers in the entire Kansas City area. The facility is well-kept and home to many sports programs, meeting rooms, exercise equipment and water activities. The 58,000 sq. foot community center hosts many of Lee's Summit's fun year-round activities.
Legacy Park is home to a fantastic indoor pool. The swimming pool at Legacy Park features a 141' water slide, four 20-yard lap lanes, "lazy" pool area, hot tub, and several fun children's spray toys. The pool is very clean, and fun for the entire family.
The gymnasium at Legacy Park is available for all members to use. Residents enjoy a full-sized court for games such as basketball, volleyball, badminton and pickelball.
Legacy Park also has two racquetball courts. Equipment is available for those who would like to use the court.
The Legacy Park's fitness areas will provide you a whole-body workout. From the aerobics equipment to the strength training area, the nice facility offers members a clean, up-to-date fitness area where you can workout independently, or with a class. Legacy Park has a full lineup of workout classes for those who choose to exercise with a group. Woodland Shores residents get a bonus workout as they can walk from their Lee's Summit homes to their class.
Legacy Park also has several meeting rooms. From small groups to large, they offer a great, affordable space for Lee's Summit residents to host their meetings, parties, showers, receptions and more.
Legacy Park features several outdoor amenities in addition to its community center and sports fields. The park has six miles of walking and biking trails (two miles are currently completed), and there are plans for future additions to the park such as an amphitheater. Legacy Park also touts a 23-acre lake for members to enjoy outdoor water activities.
